About Us

Endémico Lab is a fundraising lab that drives sustainable development through innovative financial solutions. We provide individualized and personalized support to organizations and companies in designing fundraising strategies, structuring investments, and strengthening institutional capacity. We believe in the power of capital as a catalyst for social, environmental, and economic transformation across Latin America and the Caribbean.

Our Mission

We mobilize ideas, resources, and collective will to turn capital into impact. At Endémico Lab, we design financial strategies that unite philanthropy, development cooperation, and private investment — driving projects that regenerate territories, strengthen communities, and build a sustainable future for Latin America and the Caribbean.

Our Vision

To be a catalytic force in the region, where every investment tells a story of transformation. We aspire for capital to flow with purpose — connecting innovation, sustainability, and human development to create fairer, more resilient economies filled with opportunity.

Our Founder

Carlos Araya Quintero is a senior expert in development finance, fundraising, and investment capital with more than 28 years of experience across Latin America and the Caribbean. He has led and supported resource mobilization strategies exceeding USD 200 million, integrating philanthropy, public, and private capital to finance sustainable, agricultural, and innovation-driven projects.

Throughout his career, he has held senior leadership positions at institutions such as CATIE, ICCO Cooperation (Netherlands), and EARTH University, where he promoted blended finance mechanisms, endowment funds, and institutional sustainability models. He recently advised the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) on the design of the Hemispheric Fund for Agricultural Resilience and Sustainability (FoHRSA) — a USD 500 million mechanism to foster a more resilient and sustainable agriculture across the Americas. He currently serves as Chair of The Tropics Foundation (USA) and as CEO and Co-Founder of Brumas Venture Capital, an AgriFoodTech fund focused on Central America and the Dominican Republic.

Carlos combines strategic vision and technical expertise with a deep conviction in the power of capital as a driver of sustainable development. His work integrates financial innovation, public–private partnerships, and artificial intelligence applied to fundraising, guiding organizations and companies toward models of lasting and resilient impact.
